How Magnifier works

Magnifier is an advanced website analysis and monitoring tool designed to provide fast and accurate results. The software automates the process of extracting and analysing data from a list of websites, simplifying the work of those who need to monitor content and detect specific key information.

1. Start of analysis

When you start Magnifier, the programme performs a check on the authenticity of your licence. Once you have checked the validity of your licence, you can upload an Excel file containing the list of websites to be analysed and the keywords you wish to monitor.

2. Accessing websites

Magnifier uses a browser automation engine to access websites silently and securely. The software makes multiple attempts if a site fails to load, minimising the risk of interruption. During this phase, the programme ‘navigates’ the site as a human user would, loading pages and analysing content.

3. Content scanning

Once the website is loaded, the software performs a complete scan of the text on the page. This scan includes visible and hidden content in the HTML code of the page. The text is cleaned of special characters and unnecessary formatting, making keyword analysis more precise.

Magnifier checks for the presence of each specified keyword and, if found, records the result for that site. If the keyword is not detected, the software continues to explore any internal links on the main page, examining a limited number of subpages to increase the probability of finding the required data.

4. Checking internal links

To improve the effectiveness of the analysis, Magnifier can deepen the exploration of a site by following internal links on the main page. The software limits exploration to a certain number of links in order to maintain efficiency, but this functionality allows you to capture information on subpages that might escape simple superficial analysis.

5. Data collection and archiving

The results of the analysis are recorded in real time and can be visualised via an intuitive graphic interface. Each site is catalogued together with the company name, VAT number (if present) and the result of the analysis (whether keywords were found or not). The software provides an overview of the status of all analysed sites, continuously updating the progress.

6. System performance monitoring

Magnifier is designed to run without overtaxing your computer's resources. While running, the software constantly monitors CPU and RAM usage, showing you real-time resource utilisation. This lets you know exactly how much the programme is taxing your system and ensures that you can continue using your computer without significant slowdowns.

7. Exporting results

At the end of the analysis, the collected data can be easily exported in Excel or TXT format. This allows you to share the results with your team or use them for further analysis and reporting. Each result includes the name of the company, the website analysed and the result of the keyword search.

8. Updating usage data

Magnifier keeps track of the number of analysed websites and periodically updates the database to monitor the use of the software. This data is saved in a secure database and automatically updated with each new scraping session, allowing you to always have an accurate record of software activity.
